Minutes of the previous meeting held on Tuesday 13th May 2003 were read and approved. It was proposed by Mr. K. Brown and seconded by Mr. F. Lambert that these were a true record. |

| 4344 | Matters Arising |
| i) | Village Design Statement Mrs Goodwin reported that she had not spoken to Mr. A. Lunn but, will try again before the next meeting. |
| ii) | Parent Governor for Ullesthorpe Mrs Fiona Littlewood (the Brownie Leader in the village) showed an interest in becoming a Parent Governor. A letter will be sent to the Chairman registering Mrs Littlewoods interest. |

| i) | Swift Valley Partnership Two letters have been received from Mr. Dennis Singer, the first thanking the Parish Councillor for discussing the matter of access and easement into the field behind Oak Avenue. The second letter will be taken into our Solicitors Jackson and Company to be discussed with Mr. Tony Hall. A number of Oak Avenue residents were present at the meeting, and expressed concern over a number issues relating to this land and access through Oak Avenue. Their concerns related to increased volumes of traffic, large vehicles, e.g. horse boxes/trailers, tractors etc. and children who play in the play in the street near their homes. The Parish Council have seen sight of a petition signed by all residents of Oak Avenue and Hoke Court. Mr. Fuchs will look into the Local Plan detail at H.D.C. |

| ii) | Lutterworth and District Citizens Advice Bureau Notification of the AGM on Tuesday 24th June 2003. |
| iii) | LCC Street Lighting Replacement Scheme LCC have advised that the street lighting columns in St. Peters Close are to be replaced with 6 metre columns with new lanterns with High Pressure Sodium lamps which emit a golden white light. |
| iv) | HDC Annual Playground Inspection All the information received will be studied and reported on at the next meeting. |

| v) | Leicestershire and Rutland Waste Local Plan We have been informed that the final version of the Waste Local Plan has recently been printed. Copies are available from LCC if required. It has been decided not to apply for a copy, as it does not affect this area. |
| vi) | Register of Members Interest Correspondence has been received which has to be signed by each Parish Councillor and returned. |

Parishioners Participation |
| i) | Churchyard Extension Concern has been expressed over the state of the churchyard extension. The grass has not been cut and maintained. Mr Laban will be contacted. |

| ii) | Dustbin Collection It has been reported to the Parish Council that a large dustbin vehicle is reversing down Back Lane and making a mess of the verges. Previously, it has been the smaller of the refuse vehicles collecting in Back Lane, and this will be requested for future collections as this vehicle still comes to the village on a weekly basis to go to the bottom of Stemborough Lane. |

| iii) | Back Lane Complaints have been received about the state of Back Lane, and requests made to arrange for the sweeper to come and sweep the lane. This is an ongoing matter as Back Lane should be on HDC rota for street cleaning, but HDC are constantly having to be reminded of this. The District Councillor was asked for his assistance. |

| iv) | Footpath between 8 & 9 Oak Avenue Complaints have been received about this footpath which was thought to be included on the rota for clearing of undergrowth and overgrown hedges etc. Th District Councillor has been requested to assist on our behalf. |

| v) | Street Light Broughton Lane A complaint has been received from the owner of the bungalow on White House Close about the street light, which shines into their bedroom. The lamp has recently been renewed with a brighter lamp. ABB are to be asked if a duller light could be placed, or a shield to be installed to reflect the light downwards. |

| vi) | Oak Avenue It was reported to the meeting that the No Through Road Sign had been knocked down and the County Councillor was asked for his help in having it re erected. |

| 4348 | Jubilee Walk |
| Drainage on the walk. Mr. Tom Williams has been contacted who has submitted a verbal quote for the sum of £275.00 for ballast to be placed under and around the bridge area where it remains wet. A written quote will be requested, and if this matches the verbal quote, he will be asked to proceed with the purchase of the materials. | |
